Levin: 'The enemy of the Democrat leadership ... is the Constitution'

Tuesday on his nationally syndicated radio program, LevinTV host Mark Levin explained why the Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh are so destructive.

"What you're watching now is the breakdown of the constitutional order in the United States Senate, respecting the Supreme Court," Levin said.

"You see the development of these factions, and the faction on the Left has become extremely violent, extremely aggressive," Levin said.

He explained that these "radical elements" have become heavily associated with elected members of the Democrat party and the media.

"This is why the constitution is so important, and this is why republicanism is so important. And the Left keeps trying to destroy them. One of the reasons, if not the main reason, that you see the obliteration of the confirmation process when it comes to the Supreme Court ... is because Kavanaugh has professed — he has declared — that he's a constitutionalist. The enemy of the progressive statists, the enemy of the Democrat leadership in Washington, the enemy of the Democrat Senate members on the Judiciary Committee is the Constitution, truth be told. That's why they always talk about precedent, not the text of the Constitution."
