Four game-changing stroller wagons for big families

Every mother of multiples (especially those close in age) knows the struggle of packing all the kids up for a day out on the town, only for that day to be thwarted by the loss of key items, a toddler growing weary of toddling, or the hypervigilance-induced sweat that soaks through your shirt within the first hour of your excursion.

It's hard for big families to plan big outings, and most of the mainstream stroller, car seat, and wagon manufacturers count on the fact that most consumers either space their kids out by a couple of years or limit themselves to two maximum so that they never need the kind of utility vehicle I'm about to share. High-fertility families: This one is for you!

Stroller wagons are the tactical solution to the problem at hand, and I've curated a selection of made-in-America, family-friendly brands that could be the answer to your transportation problems this spring and summer.

Tactical Baby Gear is a Carolinas-based, veteran-owned and -operated baby gear company that sells a four-seater wagon, the Veer Cruiser XL, which features an aluminum frame, all-terrain tires, 3-Point safety harness, MOLLE Webbing, and a children’s snack tray, as well as adult cup holders. Military and first responders qualify for a coupon through e-verification.

Wonderfold is a California-based stroller wagon manufacturer that offers the W4 Luxe Quad Stroller Wagon, as well as a slightly smaller four-seater and a juiced-up, Volkswagen-themed version of the same. The wagons feature removable, raised seats that recline, five-point magnetic safety harnesses with pads for added comfort, a removable canopy with adjustable canopy fabric, adjustable canopy poles to accommodate growing children, an adjustable handlebar for parents of varying heights, ample storage space including pockets on all sides and a removable rear basket, all-terrain XL wheels with suspension and bearings for a smooth ride and easy maneuvering, and an easy-to-use, one-step foot brake. To top all that off, it stands when folded! Parents of special-needs children and military, first responders, medical workers, and teachers qualify for discounts.

Gladly Family offers the Anthem Four stroller wagon, which features extra-large canopies that zip closed, all-terrain tires and a sturdy suspension system, a one-touch, easy-to-use brake, a stowaway mattress included to use with seats folded down, parent cup holder and storage area, a removable storage basket, and a welded aluminum frame that holds up to 250 lbs total; 50 lbs per passenger.

Keenz, another California-based company, offers two four-seater wagons: the XC+ and the 7S+. To illustrate the differences between the two, there's a comparison chart explaining all the product features.
