Watch What Happens When Dem Senate Candidate Is Repeatedly Pressed on Whether She Supports This Obama Initiative

"Again..."

Kentucky Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes, who is running against incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in November, repeatedly refused to say whether she supports President Barack Obama’s $3.7 billion request to address the current U.S. border crisis.

When asked about the proposal, Grimes first said she’s going to “assess everything when I’m in the United States Senate in the light of, ‘is it good for Kentucky?’” She also dodged the question by repeating that she supports an “earned path to citizenship” for immigrants.

Another reporter then asked if she would vote for Obama’s $3.7 billion emergency funds request — and again, she wouldn’t answer.

“Again, the bill that came out of the senate I strongly supported and I will continue to monitor the legislation that is before Congress,” she said.

The candidate also snuck in a jab about McConnell, saying she hopes he doesn’t “stand in the way” of immigration reform.
