Listen: Pro tip for criminals – don’t Google search ‘how to rob a bank’
October 20, 2017
Police found incriminating evidence in a man’s hotel room after a robbery … including a Google search on his computer for “how to rob a bank.”
Doc and Kal had your “Friday leftovers” on today’s show, including the sad, sad tale of a librarian named Simon and the saga of a man who deliberately made police chase him.
“This is a little scary,” Doc said of the Google search story. “Because I google some really questionable things on this program because of stories like that.”
Today's "Friday leftovers" included these stories:
- A Florida man was charged with robbery after Googling “how do you rob a bank?” and allegedly robbing a credit union.
- A funeral director turned librarian was found dead in a cupboard in the UK.
- A careless driver was taken into custody after forcing police to give chase – he said being in a car chase was on his bucket list.
