Listen: Officer showed kindness to homeless man who took turkey – here's why he's in trouble
December 11, 2017
A police officer in Kaufman, Texas is being investigated for his kind treatment of a homeless man who was caught eating a stolen turkey leg in Wal-Mart.
The store wanted to press charges for theft, but the officer let the man go with a warning and even gave him some of his own money for food. The officer, who has not been named, is under investigation because the station is required to press charges if the victim of a crime requests it, Kaufman police said.
Jeffy, Brad and Kal debated what constitutes “stealing” from Wal-Mart on today’s show.
