President Trump goes to bat for Jeanine Pirro after Fox News took her off the air. This is what he said.

He didn't mince words

President Donald Trump defended Judge Jeanine Pirro after Fox News chose not to air Pirro's show Saturday.

What did he say?

In a Sunday tweet, Trump said that it wasn't fair that Pirro — or her show, "Justice With Judge Jeanine" — should be punished for a leftist agenda of silencing opinions.

He wrote, "Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well."

"Fox must stay strong and fight back with vigor. Stop working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down, and continue to fight for our Country," he added. "The losers all want what you have, don't give it to them. Be strong & prosper, be weak & die!"

He concluded, "Stay true to the people that got you there. Keep fighting for Tucker, and fight hard for @JudgeJeanine. Your competitors are jealous — they all want what you've got — NUMBER ONE. Don't hand it to them on a silver platter. They can't beat you, you can only beat yourselves!"

What else?

At the time of this writing, Pirro's show does not appear to be on the schedule for next Saturday, either.

Pirro found herself under fire after she made remarks about Rep. Ilhan Omar's hijab during a previous show. Pirro mocked the Muslim Minnesota lawmaker for wearing a hijab, traditional Islamic headwear, and appeared to question Omar's allegiance to the U.S. in her remarks.

"Think about it: Omar wears a hijab," Pirro said. "Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?"

Fox News released a statement last week distancing itself from Pirro's remarks: "We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro's comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar. They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly."

Reports have indicated that Fox suspended Pirro, but the network has yet to make an official announcement.
