Roseanne' show ratings have been revised, and the results are astounding

According to new ratings statistics made available Monday, the "Roseanne" revival show did even more astoundingly than previously reported.

Here's what they discovered

The total audience for the first Roseanne show added up to an incredible 25 million viewers. This also includes an increase in their share of the key 18-49 demographic to a 7.3 rating, another amazing accomplishment.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that no show has added as many "time-shifted" viewers since 2014.

Television executives are surely eager to see how the rest of the episodes of the show will perform in the ratings race.

Did pro-Trump politics help the ratings?

Many believe that Roseanne Barr's personal support of President Trump that resulted in her character's pro-Trump attitude was one of the big reasons for the unbelievable ratings.

Trump himself appeared to take credit for the ratings when he talked about the show during a speech in Ohio.

“They were unbelievable, over 18 million people," he said, quoting from a conversation he had about Roseanne's ratings. "And it was about us!” he told the crowd of supporters.

The president also called Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on her unbelievable success.

"There’s a message there"

Trump ally Newt Gingrich mocked Hollywood and liberals about the show's ratings, saying, “I think it’s frankly funny that she is pro-Trump, openly so, and she’s being successful."

“I think there’s a message there for those people that think Trump’s going to be easy to beat in [2020], they ought to sit down and chat with Roseanne," he added.
