Anthony Scaramucci asks for prayers for his family amid news of divorce — liberals attack him anyway
July 29, 2017
Recently hired White House communication's director Anthony Scaramucci has been in the headlines a lot during his first week as the top WH communications guru. But on Friday, he was in the news because his wife of three years, Deidre Ball, has filed for divorce.
According to a report from the New York Post, Ball filed for the divorce citing her husband's "naked political ambition."
"Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce. She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together," a source told the Post.
Scaramucci later took to his personal Twitter account to confirm the divorce, where he asked people to "leave civilians out of this." He also sought prayers for he and his family.
"Leave civilians out of this. I can take the hits, but I would ask that you would put my family in your thoughts and prayers & nothing more," Scaramucci wrote.
However, despite the plea for civility and for people to leave his family out of the conversation amid his difficult time, people were quick to mock his situation or bash him:
You called into CNN and threatened to kill @Reince Priebus, I'm not sure you know what you're talking about.

Very happy your wife has the courage to divorce you. V sad for your 3 kids to be exposed to your foul language / hot temper.

Scaramucci and Ball began dating in 2011, according to the Post. They married in 2014. They have one child together.
