Lack of self-awareness is stunning': Kellyanne Conway responds to Clinton's excuses

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway cited her achievement as the first female campaign manager to win a presidential election when she took to social media Tuesday to assail her candidate's opponent, Hillary Clinton, for excuses she's making about the devastating 2016 election.

"Lack of self-awareness is stunning," she wrote in a tweet, in response to Clinton's comments.

Conway indicated she thought Christiane Amanpour's question, "What was your message?" was an apt one, but that Clinton's answer didn't satisfy.

In the interview with Amanpour at the Women for Women International conference in New York, Clinton said that she took "absolute personal responsibility," but then went on to blame WikiLeaks, the letter from FBI Director James Comey to Congress, misogyny and the media.

CNN's  Jake Tapper opened his show with a jab at the former first lady for trying to pin the blame on so many different culprits.

Conway then followed up with a tweet listing the reason she believed Clinton lost the election, citing her neglect of campaigning in Wisconsin, her controversial insult calling some Trump supporters "deplorable," having no message, and just simply losing to a better candidate.

She added an ironic address for the message — from a "Woman in the White House," meaning Kellyanne had made it, and Clinton had not.

Clinton has been hit on all sides for her interview and the unsatisfying excuses she's made for the devastating electoral loss. Bill Maher defended her somewhat, but then said she just wasn't a good candidate and needed to move on.
