Melania Trump opens Florida rally with the Lord's Prayer — then liberals & atheists bash her for it

First lady Melania Trump sent liberals and atheists into a tizzy on Saturday after she recited the Lord's Prayer at a "campaign rally" in Melbourne, Florida.

Prior to her husband, President Donald Trump, taking stage before the more than 9,000 person crowd, Melania went on stage to a thunderous applause.

"Thank you. Let us pray," she said, before reciting the Lord's Prayer, which is a prayer that Jesus Christ taught to his disciples found in Matthew 6 and Luke 11.

After the prayer, the crowd erupted again.

Though she only recited one of the most often recited prayers in all of history, liberals and atheists were just beside themselves. They took to Twitter afterward to bash her for the prayer, her accent and "separation of church and state."

"Melania starts the dictatorship rally with the Lord's Prayer? NOT EVERY AMERICAN IS CHRISTIAN!!!! Country over party," added Twitter user Jamie Primack.

"At least this time Melania plagerized the Lord's Prayer from the Bible instead of Michelle Obama," tweeted user Michael Blackman.

"#Resist I THINK I'M GOING TO F**KING THROW UP. First lady Melania Trump introduced her husband at the rally, reciting the Lord's Prayer," said another Twitter user.
