Report: Carrie Fisher's mother hospitalized

One day after her daughter died, Carrie Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday, complaining of breathing problems.

Reynolds' son Todd Fisher told CNN that he wanted people to "pray for her."

Los Angeles Fire Department said they responded to a call at a residence of Carrie Fisher's, but declined to name the female patient who was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital. They added that the patient was in fair to serious condition.

Joely Fisher, actress and half-sister to Carrie Fisher, tweeted out:

Reynolds daughter and "Star Wars" icon Carrie Fisher passed away Tuesday, four days after suffering a cardiac event while flying from London to Los Angeles.

Updated 9:01 ET- Debbie Reynolds son Todd Fisher reported to CNN that Reynolds has passed away.

"She spoke to me this morning and said she missed Carrie," Fisher said. "She's with Carrie now."
