Report: George W. Bush might vote for Hillary Clinton, nephew says

George P. Bush says he might be the only Bush who will vote straight-ticket Republican this election.

Bush, who is currently the Texas land commissioner, said during an event in San Marcos, Texas, Tuesday night that his uncle, former President George W. Bush, could potentially cast his vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton — instead of Republican Donald Trump — for president next week.

If Bush were to vote for Clinton, he would be joining his father, 41st President George H. W. Bush, according to news reports in September.

Politico reported that, when George P. Bush was asked to clarify his comments, he said he was just “speculating” and couldn’t say with certainty who the former presidents would be voting for.

Neither Bush president has pledged his support to Trump at any point in the 2016 election. In fact, both have remained largely silent throughout the entire cycle, though George W. Bush did do some campaign events for his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, during Jeb's failed run for the 2016 Republican nomination.
